I miss the old Gold logo. It had that timeless feel about it and was the only thing I liked GCap doing at the time.

Isn't this the first major rebrand from Global since the late 2000s? It seemed that the likes of Capital received a new logo every 5 minutes back in the 2000s, but since then, all the brands have only received minor tweaks such as the removal of the frequencies from the Capital logo.
Capital FM rebranded back to Capital Radio back in 2006 but reverted to Capital FM a year later.
Now it is just 'Capital' - although the website is still capitalfm.com2

Who remembers having to retrofit their old AM only car radios with new FM ones so they could still get Radio 1, was the case for my 1st E registered car! Did a bodge and found it easier to fit the new one below so drove round with 2 radios fitted but only one connected!

I think that maybe a bad move with new 80’s stations available,people who enjoy more 60’s music might go over to GHR 60’s instead-oh and I hate the new logo for what it’s worth.

On my radio new logo and jingles etc. are showing on their internet stream as Gold Radio UK at 128kbps MP3.
On DAB London 1 mux showing as Gold Radio London and on National D1 mux as Gold Radio UK. No new logos but new jingles etc. Both 40kbps AAC.

I loved the station when it had Paul Coyte in the late afternoon slot, and Dean Martin with the request show and telling the callers that sadly they don't have the record in their payout system

It was in need of a refresh as the current package was using bits from when Gold originally launched. I wonder if they’ll add some shows back soon.

They can rebrand as much as they like. But if they don't rebrand their music policy and improve on being a mainly juke box station , other rebranding will make no difference.

They can rebrand as much as they like. But if they don't rebrand their music policy and improve on being a mainly juke box station , other rebranding will make no difference.
1.8m for a jukebox station isn't bad at all.

That's ridiculous considering we now have Smooth 80s and Heart 80s. Gold should surely be 60/70s ?
It's also still a jukebox station for the majority of the day sadly.3
